Face Book Junkies

It's six o'clock in the morning and I wake in a panic. The alarm didn't go off at 4:30AM like it does most days. But why should it... It's Saturday morning. "But I am late, I am late oh dear I am late."  I get up slip on my slippers and run down the hall to the den. I start my computer... "I am late".  The computer seems like it's taking forever to boot.  It's finally ready I click on the browser and open Face Book and quickly jump into Farmville.... "Woooh, he didn't run away...."  You see, I made the mistake of purchasing my puppy at 5 o'clock in the morning. Now I have to be up by 5 every morning, for the next 14 days, to feed him or he'll run away.

I realize that some of you, note I didn't say most of you, don't understand what I am talking about. It seems like everyone is playing the games on Face Book and it's starting to take over our lives. I realized I was hooked when I started putting my harvesting schedule in my Outlook calendar and having reminders sent to my cell phone. What is it about these game that are so addicting?  I don't know but everyone that starts playing them are addicted within a few days of starting.

One thing I like about the games on Face Book, is that I have met so many wonderful people. Hands down Great Britain takes the award for most game junkies. But you can meet people from all over the world playing Face Book games.

Last year President Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize, but if you ask me the founders and creators of Face Book should have received it.  Where else can you find people from the United States, Russia, England, Turkey and Norway all working together to gain experience points and virtual coins.

I would chat with you longer but my Morning Glory needs to be harvested. Oh ya... one more thing. Want to be my neighbor?

A Story of Faith

This weeks blog is about a little girl name Audrey and a story of faith and real commitment. The video you are about to view was created by Cross Point Church in Nashville, TN by a pastor at the church named Pete Wilson. Pete named the video Plan B, what do you do when things don't go as you planned.

I was so moved by this story and the courage of Todd and Angie, I simply had to share it with you. Todd is a member of Selah, a christian group who latest album features a bonus track called I Will Carry You - Audrey's Song, which is also included in this video.

Closing point I would like to make. You don't know what God has for you and I know you sometimes you feel like you don't matter. But here is a story about a little girl who only had 2 and half hours to make a mark on this world. You must agree Audrey mattered.

When I heard this story a vision went through my head... God is in heaven with such a sweet spirit. So loved by God He was only going to give her minutes on earth before He called her back. Then He thought, about what He would put her parents through, and who He would choose to be the parents. Then he thought of Todd and Angie. A couple with faith so strong and their love is so great they would be able to handle it and take what He had given them and count it as a blessing. So instead of minutes he gave them 2 and half hours.
